Alvaro Bautista is going through a moment of great form. The Spanish rider from Team Gresini is in fact having an excellent central part of the season and in the last few races he has always been fighting for the top positions, often battling with our Valentino Rossi. Now comes Misano, the home track of his team and where last year he achieved the podium, he takes the microphone.

““At Silverstone we spent another fantastic weekend working intensely, together with the Team, on the setting of our bike which was not satisfactory in the first tests on Friday. We managed to do this by running a fantastic race close to the leaders. I had a lot of fun in the intense duel with Valentino, we overtook each other several times even if in the end I was beaten by just a few centimeters. Our current performance is extremely positive and therefore we must continue on this path and manage to make a few more small steps forward. For me, Misano is a circuit with good memories as well as being my Team's home track. On several occasions I managed to get on the podium and last year I conquered the podium in MotoGP for the first time after an exciting duel with several riders but above all with Dovizioso who I overtook in the sprint. This year it won't be easy because the level of MotoGP has risen considerably but we will try thanks to the fantastic moment we are going through. We will try to get even closer to the top three and attempt the feat. The track is not conducive to overtaking and is very slow despite having a very fast final part. It will be important to immediately focus on the set-up, finding good braking stability and a lot of acceleration when exiting corners because at Misano acceleration is definitely more important than top speed."
