MotoGP: Alvaro Bautista with Aprilia for the next two years

Aprilia has formalized the hiring of Alvaro Bautista for the next two seasons. The Spanish rider therefore returns with the team with which he won the 2006cc world championship in 125, but will remain in the current structure, given that Team Gresini will bring the Noale-based company's bikes to the track, which as written here will officially return next season.

“It represents a further step in defining the team that will bring Aprilia bikes to the track for the next MotoGP season – states the engineer. Roman Albesian – Last Friday we announced our return to Gresini Racing, today we put another very important piece of the puzzle in place by announcing the hiring of Bautista. I am particularly satisfied with it because it confirms Alvaro within a team he already knows well, creating the conditions for that speed in the search for maximum competitiveness which led us to bring forward our plans to return to MotoGP by a year."

“I am happy to be able to continue collaborating with Bautista – he confirms Fausto Gresini – Alvaro boasts important experience in MotoGP and consequently his contribution will prove fundamental to develop the new project with Aprilia in the best possible way. I believe a lot in him and in his potential and I am convinced that he will be able to give us the results we expect; Furthermore, this two-year agreement allows us to give continuity to the bond between Alvaro and Gresini Racing, born in 2012 and strengthened over the years."

Alvaro Bautista is also enthusiastic about the new project: “I am very happy to have reached an agreement with Aprilia for the next two seasons of the MotoGP World Championship: working closely with a manufacturer is what I wanted for my future and Aprilia gave me offered a great opportunity. I am very motivated to face this new adventure also because I will find a brand that has given me so much satisfaction and with which I have shared wonderful moments. Furthermore, the collaboration between Aprilia Racing and Gresini Racing will allow me to remain in a team with which I have already been racing for three years and which now represents a family for me. In the past I have already worked directly for a company and I really enjoyed developing a new project together.
