MotoGP: Alvaro Bautista, “In Montmeló to repeat Mugello”

MotoGP Barcelona Team Aspar – Alvaro Bautista arrives in Barcelona after an excellent weekend at Mugello, which ended with a fifth place finish just 5.802s behind the winner Andrea Dovizioso. The Team Aspar rider had fought for a good part of the race with his compatriot and reigning champion Marc Marquez, getting the better of the latter's Honda. The word is up to him.

“The result at Mugello really boosted morale and we hope to continue working in the same way in Barcelona, ​​where we arrive very motivated after the Italian race. We did an excellent job both in practice and in qualifying, and it was our objective, given that it was our weak point and we completed a good race – said Alvaro Bautista – In Barcelona we must try to repeat ourselves, to obtain a good position on the starting grid and on Sunday go to the track with the same mentality of finishing the race. Montmeló is a track where we tested a couple of weeks ago and therefore we have references and a good base. The circuit has a very fast first part, which is the section I like the most. The final section, for safety, is now very slow, very narrow, perhaps for MotoGP.”
