Alex de Angelis as written in recent days  he is at Laguna Seca to replace the injured Ben Spies on the Team Pramac Ducati. The San Marino native who usually races in the Moto2 class world championship with Team NGM Mobile, therefore has a great opportunity to shine in a class where he has already raced two seasons in 2008 and 2009, and also in 2010 as a substitute, for three round, of the injured Hiroshi Aoyama. For the occasion he will have the "standard" Ducati at his disposal and not the "LAB" one, the latest chassis evolution of the Desmosedici GP13.

“The test we did in Misano was fantastic. I really enjoyed myself because the difference in power between Moto2 and MotoGP is incredible, much more than what can be perceived on television, and the use of electronics is also impressive. Obviously I'm not here to get a result, but I will certainly do my best to make a good impression, it's an experience that I absolutely couldn't not accept. I was pleased that they thought of me and at the moment the only reason I'm here is to do this race. I'll ride Ben's standard bike and try to have as much fun as possible.”

De Angelis then spoke about his future

“Aside from this race I have no other offers in MotoGP for next season. It's clear that I would like to return to the Top Class, but at the moment I'm thinking about doing well and improving at every turn.”
