MotoGP: Aleix Espargarò, “We're aiming for a top-8 finish”

For the Aprilia Racing Team Gresini, the Catalan GP represents another important test. The RS-GP has shown an encouraging level of performance so far, especially when it comes to race pace. Only a series of circumstances prevented Aleix Espargaró from scoring points at Le Mans and Mugello but, in both races, the Italian V4 highlighted an excellent level of performance. It is a situation that the Spanish driver wants to rectify by also taking advantage of the strong motivation provided by racing on his home track.

Here are the words of Aleix Espargarò: “After Mugello I'm motivated, I can't wait to get on the RS-GP in my home race. The early start meant we ended the weekend without the result we deserved, which is a shame. I really like the Barcelona circuit and the test done here went quite well, we will start from those data to aim for a good placement in the top-8."

Here are Sam Lowes' impressions: “We had a good test here in Barcelona a short time ago and I can't wait to go back. Mugello, as far as my confidence in the saddle is concerned, was a decidedly positive weekend. I'm happy to get back into the race straight away, I want to take advantage of the good moment."
