Good news for Aleix Espargaro and Team Pramac. The Spanish centaur who crashed disastrously at Sachsenring (he was involved in Randy De Puniet's crash) will race at Laguna Seca. The final result of the x-rays was that the fracture that could be seen was not new but an old one. The Spanish driver then breathed a sigh of relief and he had the say.

“I'm very disappointed with the outcome of the Sachsenring race, I crashed when I was in twelfth position, but I was very close to the riders in front of me. I would have liked to take part in the second part of the race, but the regulations forbid it. Luckily nothing happened to me in the fall. I was a little scared at the Chemnitz hospital because the doctors didn't have a common opinion on the diagnosis. After having the x-rays done, some claimed that my C7 vertebra was broken and that I would have to rest for two weeks. Others, however, stated that what they could see was an old fracture and that it wouldn't have given me any problems anyway. Fortunately, the final diagnosis was that he did not suffer any fractures during the fall. I've always heard about the Laguna Seca track and the myth of the Corkscrew, I can't wait to tackle it to see if the change of direction so quickly and the subsequent descent really take your breath away. I studied the track with my technicians, it will be very important to start being fast from Friday and continue to progress in the following days.”
