MotoGP | GP Jerez Race, Dall'Igna: “Bagnaia proved he is a Champion”
The General Director of Ducati Corse commented on the splendid Jerez race
GP Spain Jerez MotoGP 2024 Ducati – Ducati Corse General Director Gigi Dall'Igna commented on Pecco Bagnaia's sensational victory in the Spanish Grand Prix.
The two-time MotoGP world champion, after a difficult qualifying (start from the second row, ed.) and the unfortunate crash in the Sprint Race, ran a practically perfect race, beating home idol Marc Maruqez.
For Dall'Igna the turning point of the race came when his rider made an amazing lap at the end of the race, a lap that "cut off" Marc Marquez's legs. Here's what he said to Sky Sport's microphones.

“Last year there was a fraticidal fight between Bagnaia and Martin and this year there are many contenders, even from other brands. Pecco (Bagnaia) probably ran one of the best races I've ever seen and I've seen a lot. He did a perfect race, overtaking while braking on the outside, but he won the race when he did 1:37.4 at the end of the race, he 'cut off' their legs and Marc (Marquez). He did everything to demonstrate that he is a great champion who deserves what he won."
