MotoGP GP Indonesia Sprint Race – Jorge Martin won the Sprint Race of the Indonesian Grand Prix in the MotoGP class and thanks to Pecco Bagnaia's eighth place, he becomes the new leader of the 2023 Top Class ranking.

Starting from the second row, sixth fastest, the Team Pramac Ducati rider led the way, taking the lead after a few laps, crossing the finish line ahead of the stoic Luca Marini and Marco Bezzecchi, Ducati Mooney VR46 Racing Team riders.

For Martin, this is the fourth consecutive victory in the Sprint Race, sixth victory in the last seven races (between Sprint races and "long" races on Sunday, ed.), where he finished either first or second. Ducati wins its fourth constructors' title.

The race of Marini and Bezzecchi was heroic, the former returning to the track ten days after the collarbone operation and the latter five days later, with the same injury. Two results that were unthinkable just a few days ago, especially that of Bezzecchi, who had very little time to recover.

Behind the Valentino Rossi Team duo was Maverick Vinales who held the lead of the race for a long time aboard the Aprilia, but succumbed towards the end due to tire failure.

The #12 of the Venetian manufacturer took the checkered flag ahead of the Yamaha of an excellent Fabio Quartararo and a great Fabio di Giannantonio, sixth on the Team Gresini Ducati, which he will leave to Marc Marquez (who crashed during the first lap, ed.).

Seventh and eighth times for the official Ducatis of Enea Bastianini and Pecco Bagnaia, with the latter now trailing Jorge Martin by 7 points. The #1 of the two-wheeled "Red" who started 13th after failing to pass Q1 was never a protagonist. Also in the Top Ten are Jack Miller (KTM) and Miguel Oliveira (Aprilia RNF).

A race to forget for Aleix Espargarò, who crashed while attempting to overtake Brad Binder, with the latter mowed down by the Aprilia Spaniard's bike. Franco Morbidelli (Yamaha Factory) finished 15th.
