GP Indonesia MotoGP 2023 Aprilia – Maverick Vinales, after fourth place in the Sprint Race, reached the podium in the Indonesian Grand Prix held in Mandalika.

The Aprilia rider finished second behind Pecco Bagnaia and ahead of Fabio Quartararo. Throughout the race he had to manage tire wear, the performance is there, but to aim for victory the #12 of the Venetian manufacturer will have to understand together with the team how to push without paying too much attention to the tyres. Here's what he said to Sky Sport.

Statements by Maverick Vinales Indonesia GP Race MotoGP 2023

“Throughout the race I had to manage the tires, in the final laps I had to be precise to keep Fabio (Quartararo) behind. In the end I almost took Pecco, I'm satisfied with the work we did. From mid-race onwards I had to preserve the tyres, if I hadn't done so I would have been behind at the end. I'm happy, we kept a good pace throughout the race, saving the tires gave me the podium. I know we're fast and that's what counts, now we have to sort out the tire wear issue, but that can be resolved with the setup.”
