MotoGP | GP Indonesia Day 1, Vinales: “Satisfied with the work done”

GP Indonesia MotoGP 2023 Aprilia – Maverick Vinales finished second in qualifying for the Indonesian Grand Prix held in Mandalika, the 15th stage of the 2023 MotoGP.

The Aprilia rider completed 25 laps, finishing 0.154s behind team-mate Aleix Espargarò. The #12 of the Venetian manufacturer said he was satisfied with the improvements made on this track compared to last season. Here's what he said to Sky Sport's microphones.

“I found a lot of yellow flags and Mir crashed in front of me, it was difficult to be precise. However, I am satisfied with the work done, compared to last season we have improved a lot and I am very pleased. As regards the choice of tires there are some question marks because we didn't do many laps. Tomorrow morning we will use a used tire and we will know more. At the back with the medium compound I have a good pace, but it all depends on how the bike behaves, for tomorrow we have to make a step. I like the medium better when braking, but the soft makes the difference when traveling.”
