IRTA Test Sepang MotoGP 2022 – On Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 February the MotoGP riders will take to the track in Sepang for the first collective test of the 2022 MotoGP.

With the Shakedown reserved for testers, rookies and teams with concessions (the only one left being Aprilia, ed.) closed with the Venetian manufacturer as the protagonist and with the rookies Raul Fernandez and Marco Bezzecchi (in the photo, ed.) who did well, yes start getting serious now.

Among the most anticipated is certainly Marc Marquez, who after problems due to double vision returned to the track with good sensations in Portimao (riding the Honda RC213V-S) and Aragon (with a Honda CBR 600RR).

Reigning champion Fabio Quartararo is however the man to beat and given the splendid end to the season, a lot is expected from Francesco Bagnaia and his Ducati.

Also in the saddle is Andrea Dovizioso, who will have a Factory Yamaha in Team WithU, born from the "ashes" of Team Petronas.

Keep an eye on Suzuki with the confirmed Joan Mir and Alex Rins and also our Enea Bastianini (Ducati Gresini) and Luca Marini (Ducati Mooney VR46 Racing Team), who after a year of apprenticeship will want to start off on the right foot.

A step forward is also expected from Aprilia, while Ducati Pramac seeks confirmation (four podiums for Martin and Zarco in 2021, ed.) and KTM seeks redemption after a 2021 lacking in satisfaction.

MotoGP Rookies Chapter 2022

Five rookies, our Marco Bezzecchi (Ducati Mooney VR46 Racing Team) and Fabio Di Giannantonio (Ducati Gresini), Darryn Binder (who moved from Moto3 to MotoGP alongside Dovizioso in the WithU Yamaha RNF, ed.) and Remy Gardner and Raul Fernandez, riding the Team Tech 3 KTMs.
