MotoGP Gp Australia Qualifying – Jorge Martin obtained the pole position of the MotoGP class Australian Grand Prix, 18th stage of the 2022 MotoGP world championship.

The Team Ducati Pramac rider set the fastest lap with a time of 1.27.767, taking his third pole of the season, the seventh in MotoGP.

In the front row with him we find Marc Marquez's Honda and Pecco Bagnaia's Ducati. The Spaniard always lapped behind the Piedmontese, arriving just 13 thousandths from pole, while the #63 from the Borgo Panigale manufacturer "stopped" at +0.186s.

Excellent fourth time for Aleix Espargarò's Aprilia, who put a Fabio Quartararo with his back against the wall behind him.

“El Diablo” has an excellent race pace, but his Yamaha YZR-M1 pays off a lot in T4 of the Australian circuit. Tomorrow will be an uphill race for the Frenchman, who we remember has only a two point lead in the standings over Bagnaia and 20 over Aleix Espargarò. Closing the second row is Johann Zarco (Ducati Pramac) who moved up from Q1.

Luca Marini (Ducati Mooney VR46 Racing Team) is seventh, ahead of Jack Miller (Ducati) and team-mate Marco Bezzecchi. Fourth row for the Suzuki of Alex Rins, for the Honda LCR of Alex Marquez and for the Aprilia of Maverick Vinales, who followed in the wake of team-mate Espargarò.

Enea Bastianini will start 15th. The Team Ducati Gresini rider had not passed Q1, where he was hindered by Miguel Oliveira (KTM) on the fastest lap.

Fabio Di Giannantonio (Ducati Gresini) finished 20th, while Franco Morbidelli (Yamaha) was 23rd.
