MotoGP GP Malaysia Sepang Qualifying – Extraordinary pole position for Jorge Martin in the Malaysian Grand Prix MotoGP class, 19th and penultimate stage of the 2022 MotoGP, scheduled for Sunday at 09:00 Italian time at the SIC, Sepang International Circuit.

The Team Ducati Pramac rider set a new Malaysian track record with a lap of 1:57.790, achieving his eighth pole position in MotoGP.

In the front row with "Martinator" our Enea Bastianini riding the Ducati Gresini and Marc Marquez, Honda Repsol, who pay a gap of 0.456s and even 0.664s.

The “Rookie of The Year” Marco Bezzecchi (Ducati Mooney VR46 Racing Team) set the fourth time with a time of 1:58.490 and will open the second row where we also find the Suzuki of Phillip Island winner Alex Rins and his team-mate Luca Marini.

Good performance from Franco Morbidelli, who after being penalized with a double long-lap penalty for obstructing other riders in FP3, finished seventh ahead of Maverick Vinales' Aprilia.

Difficult qualifying for Pecco Bagnaia, who after passing through Q1 given the slip in FP3, fell again, finishing ninth, 1.072s from the top.

Not bad from a Championship perspective, given that his direct opponents did worse. Aleix Espargarò with the Aprilia finished tenth, behind him, while Fabio Quartararo, after slipping in FP4, finished 12th, behind Joan Mir's Suzuki.

Qualifying to forget for Jack Miller and Johann Zarco who did not pass the Q1 trap and who will start from 14th and 18th place.

Rookie QP MotoGP GP Malaysia

The best rookie was Marco Bezzecchi (Ducati Mooney VR46 Racing Team) fourth, followed by Fabio Di Giannantonio (Ducati Gresini) 16th, Remy Gardner (KTM Team Tech 3 and from next year in Yamaha Superbike) 20th, Raul Fernandez (KTM Team Tech 3) 22nd and Darryn Binder (Yamaha WithU RNF) 24th.
