MotoGP | Gp Jerez FP2: Quartararo at the top, followed by the Ducatis of Bastianini and Bagnaia

MotoGP Spanish GP Free Practice 2 – The second free practice session of the MotoGP class in Jerez saw Fabio Quartararo and the Ducatis as great protagonists.

The reigning Yamaha champion in fact achieved the best time (best-lap of 1:37.071) ahead of the Ducatis of Enea Bastianini (Team Gresini) and Pecco Bagnaia (Team Factory). Jorge Martin also did well, fourth on the Desmosedici of Team Pramac. With the higher temperatures, the bikes of Borgo Panigale are "roaring" again.

The Japanese Takaaki Nakagami is fifth with the Honda of Team LCR and precedes the KTM of Brad Binder, the Honda Repsol of Pol Espargarò and the Suzuki of Alex Rins. The Top Ten is rounded off by Maverick Vinales' Aprilia and Jack Miller's Ducati.

Joan Mir (Suzuki), the best of FP1, is 12th, behind Johann Zarco's Pramac Racing Ducati. Mir precedes Aleix Espargarò's Aprilia, Franco Morbidelli's Yamaha (which suffers a gap from the top of 0.881s and Miguel Oliveira, 15th with the KTM.

Luca Marini on the Ducati of the Mooney VR46 Racing Team is 17th, ahead of team-mate Marco Bezzecchi and a struggling Marc Marquez. The #93 of the Repsol Honda Team crashed twice and is 19th, immediately ahead of Andrea Dovizioso's Team WithU RNF Yamaha, still in difficulty aboard the M1.

Honda and Aprilia testers Stefan Bradl and Lorenzo Savadori, on track as wild-cards, finished in 22nd and 25th position respectively.

Rookie FP2 MotoGP GP Spain

The best rookie was Marco Bezzecchi (Mooney VR46 Racing Team) 18th fastest, followed by Fabio Di Giannantonio (Ducati Gresini) 21st, Remy Gardner (Team Tech 3) 23rd, and Darryn Binder (Yamaha WithU RNF) 24th.
