MotoGP GP Indonesia Mandalika Qualifying – Fabio Quartararo took pole position for the Indonesian Grand Prix, the second round of the 2022 MotoGP.

After the disappointment in Qatar, the Yamaha rider returned to being a great protagonist in Mandalika, bringing Yamaha back to pole position. For “El Diablo” best time of 1:31.067, obtained on the fifth of the seven qualifying passes.

In the front row with the French rider are the Ducati Pramacs of Spaniard Jorge Martin and Frenchman Johann Zarco, 0.213s and 0.311s behind respectively.

For Quartararo it is the 16th pole in MotoGP which interrupts a 12-race fast; he hadn't been on pole since the 2021 Catalunya GP. he interrupted Ducati's 7 consecutive poles.

Excellent performance by Brad Binder (KTM), who placed fourth after the podium in Qatar. In the second row with him the winner of Losail, Enea Bastianini (Ducati Gresini) and Francesco Bagnaia.

"Pecco" after having passed from Q1, put a "damage" to his qualification, something that Marc Marquez cannot say, who unlike the Piedmontese did not overcome the "rock" of Q1 and will therefore start from the fifth row, 15th time.

Miguel Oliveira with the second KTM Factory placed seventh, ahead of Alex Rins' Suzuki and Jack Miller's official Ducati.

Fourth row for Aleix Espargarò's Aprilia (he crashed at the end of the session without consequences, ed.), for the best rookie, Fabio Di Giannantonio (Ducati Gresini) and for Franco Morbidelli (Yamaha). The latter crashed at the start of Q2 and once he got back on the second bike he didn't find the same feeling.

Among the riders who did not pass Q1, Andrea Dovizioso (Yamaha WithU RNF), who will start 17th, ahead of Joan Mir (Suzuki) and Alex Marquez (Honda LCR)

Rookie Qualifying MotoGP GP Indonesia
