MotoGP Catalan GP Warm Up – Maverick Vinales was the fastest in the warm up of the Catalan Grand Prix, the ninth stage of the 2022 MotoGP scheduled for 14pm on the Montmelò circuit in Barcelona.

The Aprilia rider, who mounted a medium tyre, lapped in 1:40.135, ahead of the Team Gresini duo of Enea Bastianini and rookie Fabio Di Giannantonio.

The “Beast” seemed much more at ease compared to qualifying, showing a truly effective pace, while the Roman driver did nothing but confirm his progress after the pole at Mugello.

Alex Rins with Suzuki achieved the fourth fastest time, ahead of the Aprilia of pole-man Aleix Espargarò, who crashed at the end of the session without consequences at turn 10, the KTM of Brad Binder and team-mate Joan Mir.

Closing out the Top Ten are Miguel Oliveira with the KTM and our Andrea Dovizioso (Yamaha WithU RNF) and Franco Morbidelli. Above all, "Dovi" has returned to positions more suited to him, even if starting from the back it will be difficult to recover.

Fabio Quartararo worked from a race perspective, completing 23 laps with the medium rear tyre. The reigning Yamaha champion kept a good pace and will certainly be among the protagonists in the race.

Our Pecco Bagnaia (20th) also worked with the race in mind, trying to do as many laps as possible with the same tyre, as happened yesterday in FP4. If yesterday the Ducati rider had tried the medium, this morning he took to the track with the hard rear.
