MotoGP | GP Assen, FP3: Aprilia in the lead with Espargarò, Bezzecchi is fifth
Crash for Bastianini, forced to Q1
MotoGP Dutch GP Free Practice 3 – Grande Aprilia in the Free Practice 3 of Assen, held under the sun and with slick tyres.
Great battle on the track to gain direct access to Q2 and the winner was Aleix Espargarò, who took the RS-GP into the lead with a time of 1:32.164.
Second time at just 41 thousandths for Fabio Quartararo, who as usual is the only M1 in the top positions. “El Diablo” had been even faster, with a gap of only 2 thousandths if his lap had not been canceled due to Espargarò's own crash without consequences.
Third and fourth times for the Suzuki of Alex Rins and the Honda LCR of Takaaki Nakagami, followed by the Ducatis of the Mooney VR46 Racing Team rookie Marco Bezzecchi and Pecco Bagnaia, called to make up for the Sachsenring crash.
Also directly entering Q2 are Maverick Vinales with the second Aprilia (he had the third fastest time, canceled like Quartararo's, ed.), the Pramac Ducatis of Jorge Martin and Johann Zarco and the official Ducati of Jack Miller.
They will have to pass through the Q1 trap, among others: Fabio Di Giannantonio (Ducati Gresini rookie), Franco Morbidelli (Yamaha Factory, author of a bad fall, resolved without any particular consequences, ed.), Luca Marini (Ducati Mooney VR46 Racing Team) , Enea Bastianini (Ducati Gresini, crashed without consequences, ed.), Aprilia tester Lorenzo Savadori and Andrea Dovizioso (Yamaha WithU RNF).
