MotoGP Test IRTA Jerez 2021 Monster Energy Yamaha – Maverick Viñales concluded the day of official MotoGP testing on the Jerez de La Frontera circuit, ahead of everyone. The best lap recorded by the Spanish driver was 1:36.879 and he completed 101 laps.

“We haven't tried any new parts. I just tried to do more and and learn something about myself, trying to put the brakes on a little bit later and it seemed to work. I was really good in the morning, the conditions were fantastic, so we could ride really fast. In the afternoon the conditions were a little more difficult, but we were still very fast. I had a very long run and was actually quite happy. So I'm quite confident for Le Mans, because I think today we found what I needed both in Portimao and here in Jerez. Now I have more confidence with the bike. I did more laps and adapted a little more. Now I feel good, I think at Le Mans we can focus on being a little bit faster."
