MotoGP GP Netherlands Assen Yamaha Petronas SRT 2021 – Franco Morbidelli underwent successful surgery on his left knee, specifically on the meniscus and anterior cruciate ligament.

The operation was carried out at the Madre Fortunata Toniolo nursing home in Bologna by Professor Maurilio Marcacci and his team, who said they were satisfied with the intervention and the outcome of the operation.

The Team Yamaha Petronas rider was injured during training a few days ago, a knee that had been bothering him for some time and which in France had "given up" during an attempt to change bikes in anticipation of a flag-to-flag race .

“Morbido” will remain in hospital until Sunday for observation. Once home he will be able to start the recovery process, which will include an eight-week rehabilitation program.
