MotoGP 2021 Spanish GP Jerez KTM Tech3 Factory Racing – There will be four KTM RC16 Factory on the MotoGP grid for the next five seasons, as KTM has renewed its partnership with the Tech3 KTM Factory Racing team.

Tech3 went “orange” in 2019, where it helped develop promising rookie Miguel Oliveira with several top ten results. Together they then won in 2020 when Oliveira triumphed in Austria and Portugal.

The 2021 season marks exactly twenty years since the team first entered the Top Class. Tech3 was founded in 1990 and won a title in 250cc before making the leap.

Statements Pit Beirer KTM Motorsport Director on Team Tech 3 partnership renewal

“We are very proud to announce a new five-year agreement with Team Tech3. This is a very important strategic move for us as part of our long-term strategy. We have already agreed our participation with Dorna for another five years and it was essential to have that base and stability in MotoGP by renewing our agreement with Tech3. Over the last few years we have built our structure and it now provides an incredible pathway from the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, Moto3, Moto2 and then four valuable places in the Premier Class, where we want to be successful. With Hervé and Team Tech3 we have the ideal partner and see the entire operation as part of 'one team'. It is more than a pleasure to say that we will be able to be together the next five years.”

Statements Hervé Poncharal Tech 3 Team Manager on KTM partnership renewal

“I feel truly proud, very privileged and very honored to announce our renewed partnership with KTM. I think we will be the first independent team to announce a five-year agreement with a manufacturer in the history of MotoGP. This is a great achievement and highlights how strong our relationship is and how much good they have done in the first three years of our collaboration. 2020 is certainly still in our memory; the Tech3 KTM won two races, KTM won three races overall, but I believe the best is yet to come. We share the same values, the same goal, we never give up and we are ready to run. Now that this agreement is done, signed, confirmed, we will work even harder on the 2021 season and of course we will think about 2022. I truly believe that we have all the ingredients to win and it is only up to us to put all the pieces together to do it and chase victory at every single race.”
