MotoGP GP Valencia Yamaha Petronas SRT 2021 – Valentino Rossi is preparing to experience an exciting weekend in Valencia, where he will contest his last race of a glorious and winning career.

The "Doctor", after 26 seasons in the MotoGP and 22 in the Top Class, will definitively leave MotoGP to dedicate himself to his family (a little girl will be born, ed.) and to 4-wheel racing.

The Pesaro native has a love/hate relationship with the circuit named after Ricardo Tormo. In 2006 and 2015 he lost the MotoGP title at the last race; in 2006 he slipped and despite getting back on the bike the title went to the late Nicky Hayden, while in 2015 he started last after the now famous "events" in Sepang (penalized for the collision with Marc Marquez, ed.) and lost the title to Jorge Lorenzo .

However, he boasts two victories, seven podiums and three pole positions. Here's what Yamaha's #46 had to say.

Statements Valentino Rossi GP Valencia Preview

“Valencia is always a special weekend and can be a difficult race in many ways, especially because it is always the last round of the year, apart from last year when we closed the season in Portugal. I still had a good time. Let's hope for good weather to be able to prepare for the race as best as possible and take some points. Even though it will be my last race in MotoGP, I feel normal and I think it's fine, especially because this has been a very long season; maybe the days after the weekend will be different this year, but we'll see. I hope to have the chance to say “hello” to my fans in a positive way and thank them for their support.”
