MotoGP GP Styria Red Bull Ring 2021 – Lorenzo Savadori underwent successful surgery on the medial malleolus of his right ankle fractured in the Styrian Grand Prix.

The Aprilia rider had hit Dani Pedrosa's KTM, slipped in front of him and on impact the two bikes had caught fire (Click here to find out more). Below is the Aprilia press release.

The operation, necessary due to a fracture of the medial malleolus of the right ankle, was performed by Prof. Francesco Pogliacomi and Doctors Luca Guardoli and Emanuele Ciccarone, members of the team of the Orthopedic Clinic directed by Prof. Enrico Vaienti, in the presence by Dr. Michele Zasa, Medical Director of Clinica Mobile.

The operation was a perfect success and the rider will begin a rehabilitation process in the next few days, which will allow him to be ready to resume sporting activity as soon as possible.
