MotoGP | GP Qatar 2 Qualifying: Martin, “Incredible pole but in the race…”

MotoGP GP Qatar 2 Ducati 2021 – Amazing pole position at the Losail International Circuit for Jorge Martin, who in his second race in MotoGP gets his first start from the pole in the Top Class.

The #89 of Team Ducati Pramac got the better of team-mate Johann Zarco and Maverick Vinales' Yamaha. Martin is aware that fighting for victory will be tough, but in the meantime he takes home the prestigious result.

“It's an incredible pole! Now comes the difficult part, I know I'm not setting out to win, but I have to grow and learn. Of course, if I had a 20" lead... I drove to the limit, I gave 100% without making any mistakes, but at every corner I didn't know how it would end. I felt good in the saddle. Speaking with the Team, I thought I could shave three tenths off my best times, but I honestly didn't think I could get pole. I have a fantastic team, I thank Ducati and Pramac. The goal is to stay with the best and manage the race as best as possible. I'm not setting out to win, if I finish in the top six I'm more than satisfied.”
