MotoGP | Qatar GP 2: Lorenzo, "Rossi disappointed me, I didn't like Miller's action"

MotoGP GP Qatar 2 – Jorge Lorenzo from his Youtube channel '99, commented on the Doha Grand Prix, held at the Losail International Circuit.

The five-time World Champion said he was disappointed by Valentino Rossi's performance (started from the penultimate row and finished 16th, ed.) and criticized, although not openly, Jack Miller for the contact at over 200 km/h between the Australian and Joan Mir. According to Lorenzo, Miller's was a disproportionate reaction to what happened a few corners earlier, when Mir had passed the Ducati rider on the inside. “Rossi disappointed me, just as he will have disappointed his fans. A lot is always expected from Valentino, but to finish 21st in qualifying… There hasn't been a worse qualifying in his career, it's hard to find. He was out of the points on Sunday. It's difficult to find him outside the points without a crash or a technical problem. It is the second time that he comes very far from the other Yamaha riders. Let's hope it's a special occasion. In Qatar he has never done well, there are circuits where he goes better. I don't know if he will improve in Portimao, but certainly in Jerez we should see a stronger Rossi."

“Halfway through the race something happened that I didn't like very much between Jack and Mir. I didn't like the way Jack took the situation, it's true that Mir might have been too aggressive a few corners before, but I don't think Jack reacted well coming out of the last corner, because I watched him a couple of times, he knew exactly where Mir was; he didn't care much about Mir getting back on track. This action could have ended very badly, when the contact between the two ended they met Viñales and touched each other again. It could have ended very badly on two occasions, but thank God nothing happened.”
