MotoGP GP Qatar 2 Free Practice 3 – The third free practice session of the MotoGP class Doha Grand Prix was characterized by strong winds and the resulting sand brought onto the track.

High times for everyone and no improvement (which was expected anyway given the day conditions compared to the night ones, ed.), with the best lap of the session going to Fabio Quartararo.

The Yamaha rider took his M1 Factory ahead of everyone with a time of 1:56.064, a time that allowed him to beat the Suzukis of Alex Rins and Joan Mir, trailing by 0.283s and 0.386s respectively.

Fourth time for the excellent Danilo Petrucci, increasingly comfortable astride the KTM of Team Tech 3 and who yesterday had lost direct access to Q2 by just 55 thousandths.

Petrux is ahead of the Yamahas of Maverick Vinales and Franco Morbidelli and the Ducati Avintia of rookie Enea Bastianini. Closing out the Top Ten are Alex Marquez with the Honda of Team LCR, Valentino Rossi (Yamaha Petronas) and Pol Espargarò with the Honda Repsol.

Francesco Bagnaia with the official Ducati is fourteenth, ahead of Lorenzo Savadori's Aprilia. Johann Zarco, Luca Marini, Jack Miller and Jorge Martin did not ride to avoid taking unnecessary risks.

They directly access the final qualifying phase: Miller, Bagnaia, Zarco, Quartararo, Martin, Aleix Espargarò, Morbidelli, Rins, Vinales and Bradl.

Among the others forced to Q1: Valentino Rossi, Danilo Petrucci, the 2020 world champion Joan Mir, Pol Espargarò, Enea Bastianini, Luca Marini and Lorenzo Savadori.
