“As I said since Friday, we need to try to interpret what we are doing well and make the most of it. One would always like to be as far ahead as possible, but we know that we don't have a very competitive package, which fortunately won't be last year's bike. This weekend we managed to make progress in braking and it was seen in the race, because if you don't work well in the shifts, then this thing pays off in the race, a bit like what happened in Misano 2, where we weren't able to work due to the weather . Today I managed to make a good pace and let's not forget that I was last at the second corner. Little by little I rejoined the group in front and my goal was to catch Valentino (Rossi, his team-mate, ed.) but he managed to go away with Marini. It's a shame, because I could have played with them and today would have been the best. If we analyze the pace, I set some good times from mid-race onwards. Just as in practice, in the first laps I can't get that feeling that would allow me to exploit the potential of the bike and tires. In the race today we finally took a step forward, we're going to Valencia to make some progress and then to test the new bike in Jerez. It will be the basis of the 2022 Moto, because I don't think it is defined yet."
