MotoGP | Misano GP 2 FP3: Zarco at the top, Quartararo and Bagnaia forced to Q1

MotoGP Misano GP Nolan GP of Made in Italy and Emilia-Romagna Free Practice 3 – Third free practice session of the very tight MotoGP class at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, where the 16th stage of the 2021 MotoGP championship is scheduled for tomorrow.

The main news is that both the world championship leader Fabio Quartararo and our Francesco "Pecco" Bagnaia will be forced to Q1, given that on the wet asphalt the two were unable to reach the Top Ten.

If it isn't a huge surprise for Quartararo given the Yamaha's difficulties, it is for Bagnaia, who we remember has to recover 52 points from the Frenchman in the Championship. The two will battle in Q1, where we remember the top two then access the final phase of qualifying.

The session saw a Pramac one-two with Johann Zarco and Jorge Martin, who preceded another Ducati, that of Jack Miller.

Fourth time for Miguel Oliveira, who with the KTM Factory put behind the Honda Factory of Marc Marquez and Pol Espargarò and the Yamaha Factory (the only one in the Top Ten, ed.) of Franco Morbidelli.

Closing out the Top are Aleix Espargarò with the Aprilia and our Danilo Petrucci (KTM Tech 3) and Luca Marini (Ducati Sky VR46 Avintia). All the other riders will have to go through Q1 where we will also find Andrea Dovizioso and Valentino Rossi, who "showed off" a helmet dedicated to his fans on the occasion of his last race in Italy (click here for photos and videos).

Of note is the fall of Lorenzo Savadori, with a suspected fracture of his right collarbone. We remind you that the Aprilia rider returned as a wild card (his place was taken by Maverick Vinales, ed.) after fracturing his ankle in Austria.
