MotoGP GP Spain Esponsorama Avintia 2021 – Unlucky race for Enea Bastianini in the Jerez de La Frontera Grand Prix, forced to retire after a crash during the tenth lap. However, Enea said he was happy with the work done over the weekend and hopes to be able to try new material during tomorrow's tests. These are his impressions at the end of the match, collected by manager Carlo Pernat.

Statements Enea Bastianini Spanish GP Jerez Race

“I got off to a bad start because I had a few problems. Then I got into my rhythm, I was able to brake hard and overtake. After four or five laps I passed Marc but then I went out and he passed me again. I was running on 38.4/38.5 and therefore I think that lap after lap I could have done something better given that he started to start behind me in the right way. It's a shame, we didn't need the crash at turn two because I'm sure we could have had a good race, but we have to look at the positive side. We were competitive compared to the other days when we couldn't find the right balance. This morning we went strong, today we were proving it, we were confirming ourselves. There will be tests tomorrow, maybe we'll try some new solutions but I was happy with the bike and the work we did."
