MotoGP GP Spain Jerez Free Practice 2 – A great Francesco Bagnaia achieved the best time in the second practice session of the Spanish Grand Prix in the MotoGP class, the fourth race of the 2021 MotoGP championship.
“Pecco” who had made a great comeback in Portimao (he came second at the finish line, ed.) took the Ducati Desmosedici Factory to the top, clocking an excellent 1:37.209.
Behind the #63 of the "Red" from Borgo Panigale we find the Yamaha of world championship leader Fabio Quartararo (+ 0.178s) Aleix Espargarò with the Aprilia (+ 0.437s) and two other Yamahas, those of Franco Morbidelli (who did set the time with a used tire) and Maverick Vinales.
Sixth time for Takaaki Nakagami's Team LCR Honda, with the Japanese ahead of Miguel Oliveira's KTM and Alex Rins' Suzuki. Also in provisional Q2 were Johann Zarco with the Ducati Pramac and Brad Binder, the best of FP1.
Momentarily In Q1 among others: Stefan Bradl, Jack Miller, Joan Mir, Pol Espargarò, Luca Marini, Marc Marquez (16th time), Danilo Petrucci, Enea Bastianini, Lorenzo Savadori, Alex Marquez and an unrecognizable Valentino Rossi, twenty-first to almost one and a half seconds from the top, exactly 1.489s. Another weekend that starts uphill for the nine-time world champion.
