MotoGP | German GP Warm Up: Quartararo at the top, Rossi is 11th
The Yamaha rider ahead of Pol Espargarò and Takaaki Nakagami
MotoGP GP Germany Sachsenring Warm Up – The leader of the world championship standings Fabio Quartararo scored the best performance in the warm up of the MotoGP class German Grand Prix, eighth stage of the 2021 MotoGP, scheduled today at 14 pm at the Sachsenring.
The Yamaha rider set the best time with a time of 1:21.341, a time that allowed him to beat Pol Espargarò's Honda HRC by just 63 thousandths and that of Japanese Takaaki Nakagami's Team LCR by 79 thousandths.
Joan Mir with Suzuki is fourth and ahead of Franco Morbidelli (Yamaha Petronas), Maverick Vinales (Yamaha Factory), Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) and Marc Marquez (Honda HRC).
Rounding out the Top Ten are rookie Jorge Martin with the Ducati Pramac and Aleix Espargarò with the Aprilia. The rider of the Venetian company, who will start from the front row (it has been 21 years since the Noale company achieved this result) fell and then got back on the second bike.
Valentino Rossi made up ground compared to the tests and placed eleventh ahead of the Barcelona winner Miguel Oliveira.
Luca Marini (rookie Ducati Sky VR46 Avintia) is 14th, ahead of his KTM Tech 3 compatriot Danilo Petrucci, pole-man Johann Zarco (Ducati Pramac) and Enea Bastianini. Ducati rookie Avintia was penalized three positions for obstructing Petrucci in qualifying. Lorenzo Savadori (Aprilia) is 18th
