MotoGP | GP Austin Qualifying, Morbidelli: “We are improving”

MotoGP GP Austin 2021 Monster Energy Yamaha – Franco Morbidelli concluded qualifying for the Austin Grand Prix with the thirteenth fastest time. The Monster Energy Yamaha team rider, fresh from knee surgery and a long rehabilitation, admitted to suffering in the hardest braking sections but still said he was optimistic about the feeling with his M1:

‎”It was a good qualification. We have maintained our improvement curve. We got better and better throughout the day. I'm happy because we are improving every session, this is positive and should be our goal. I'm learning more and more about the bike and we're adapting it more and more to my style, it's paying off. The race will be tough, but the feeling is better than it was in Misano anyway, so this is really good. Let's move forward, try to improve a little more in the warm up, and then we'll see."‎
