MotoGP 2021 GP Motorland Aragon Michelin – The MotoGP returns to the track in Aragon (13th stage of the 2021 MotoGP) after the break following the British Grand Prix held at Silverstone and won by Fabio Quartararo, ahead of Alex Rins' Suzuki and Aleix Espargarò's Aprilia.

For the Noale company it was the first podium in MotoGP, the second if we also consider the 500cc class. At Donington 21 years ago it was Jeremy McWilliams who got on the podium.

The Motorland of Aragon is one of the hardest circuits for tires and Michelin will bring specific compounds for this reason.

The circuit has 10 left and 7 right corners, fast corners and tight corners and a straight of almost one kilometre.

The riders will have three compounds available at the front, soft, medium and hard, all symmetrical, while at the rear the same compounds will have an asymmetrical profile with the harder left shoulder.

In case of rain the rain tires will be with a medium and soft compound on both the front and rear with the first symmetrical and the rear asymmetrical.

Statements Piero Taramasso, Two Wheel Manager, Michelin Motorsport GP Aragon

“Last year in Aragón some sessions were delayed due to very cold temperatures, the asphalt was below 10°C on Friday morning and so I hope that the conditions will be better this year, as this time the race was anticipated as a date. The circuit layout is quite challenging for our tire designers because it includes a mix of corners, from slow and tight to fast and flowing ones, and the two straights where the speeds of a MotoGP are quite high. When you combine all these factors on every lap, it puts a lot of strain on the tires and we need to make sure we deliver our usual high levels of performance for all drivers and teams.”
