“I haven't seen the new chicane yet but I think our bike will do very well. The second race here last year we finished seventh but before the rain came, we fought for the win. We have the pace and it's not a terrible circuit, I think the chicane helps everything. I'm pushing Yamaha a lot to bring us something but at the moment there are no extras, I'm giving my best and I think I've made some steps forward."

“The new chicane allows us to brake more, I think it's good. The wall on the left is a little too close. For us it is a good track, we have demonstrated our competitiveness year after year, last year I fought with Marc and Fabio while this year all the bikes could be in front. We are in good shape and can fight to stay at the front. I will think about gaining points but in the last few races we have been lucky because my opponents have had some problems. I have to think about the weekend and the sessions, also thinking that Aleix is ​​very close to Fabio"

“I saw the data from weeks ago and the chicane doesn't look bad.
It's the home GP for the team and it will be very important, the energy helps us and it will be exciting to get back on the bike tomorrow morning. We've always managed to do well in the race, last year I won but I don't know if I'll still be lucky this year. In the last few races we made some mistakes on tire choice and this took us out of the TOP 10 and away from the podium. We lack potential that other drivers have, we see it in qualifying. We have work to do but I'm motivated to do better."
