MotoGP GP Austria 2 Red Bull Ring Yamaha MotoGP Preview – Maverick Vinales in the usual pre-race preview, wanted to recall the dramatic moments experienced last Sunday in Austria, when the contact between Johann Zarco and Franco Morbidelli had "launched" the Frenchman's Ducati and the Italian-Brazilian's Yamaha like bullets towards he and his team-mate Valentino Rossi, miraculously unharmed.

Speaking about the race he admitted that the start wasn't what he expected, but that as the laps went by things improved. The objective is to recover points with a view to the world championship, he has the say.

“Last Sunday I experienced a contrasting race. Valentino (Rossi) and I were very lucky not to have been injured in the accident at Turn 3, but I'm disappointed with what happened in Race 2. Luckily this Sunday we have another opportunity to show what we can do . My pace was really good towards the end of the race, so I think if we work hard, we can recover some points in the championship. This is our goal.”
