MotoGP | GP Aragon 2 Day 1: Maverick Vinales, "We did a good job"

MotoGP Gp Teruel Aragon 2 Yamaha MotoGP Day 1 – Maverick Vinales achieved the second time on the first day of testing for the Teruel Grand Prix, the eleventh round of the 2020 MotoGP.

The Spanish Yamaha rider said he was quite satisfied with the improvements seen compared to the first race held at the Motorland of Aragon. Tomorrow he will look for the "perfect" lap in qualifying, he will have the say.

“I think today was a pretty good day, because I noticed an improvement. In reality the track today seemed to have less grip than last week. This made it more difficult to get good lap times, but we still did a good job. We also have to take into consideration that we tried a lot of things on the bike today, so it was also difficult to concentrate on getting a good pace. But driving in a constant 1'49 on medium tires and with a full tank is positive. I only tried the time attack at the end of FP2, and it went well. When I did the time attack I was on the other bike, so it was difficult to do a good lap but, nevertheless, I'm happy. We have reasons to be positive, because we have found good things for tomorrow. We will focus on the pace, trying to do a perfect lap in qualifying. I know I can be very fast at the start of the race with the soft front tire, but we saw last week that we have to push more in the second half, so I think the medium option will be better this Sunday.”
