MotoGP | Coronavirus: Marquez Brothers, helmet with special livery in Jerez [VIDEO]

MotoGP Coronavirus – The Marquez brothers will wear helmets with a special livery in Jerez, where the first post-Covid-19 MotoGP race is scheduled for July 19th. The helmets will then be auctioned to raise funds with Allianz Seguros.

The design of these helmets is a tribute to the people who have suffered and continue to suffer due to the Coronavirus pandemic, both to the professionals from the various sectors who have worked tirelessly to keep essential services active, and to all the people who have been confined to their homes and are now slowly returning to normality.

On the helmets there will be the motto "Pushing forward together" and it will be a special day, because it will be the first time that the two brothers will race together in the MotoGP class. All proceeds will go to Red Cross responders, who will be responsible for distributing the benefits in the best possible way and to those most in need.

“After two and a half months of imprisonment and after seeing the crisis caused by Covid-19, I wanted to somehow pay homage to all the people who have suffered and continue to suffer due to this pandemic and also to all the professionals who have worked tirelessly during this period. After thinking long and hard and talking to my brother Alex, we believed that the option of creating a helmet with a special design would be a nice tribute to all of them and, at the same time, with the rod, we could add another grain of sand to fight this pandemic.”

“I will finally be able to debut in the MotoGP category at the Jerez Grand Prix, a dream come true, and there will be no better way to do it than wearing this beautiful helmet for all the meaning that this design carries. We spent days talking with Marc about what we could do upon returning to competition and designing a special helmet was a nice way of showing solidarity with all the people who have had and are going through a difficult time in this difficult period for society. ”
