MotoGP | Valencia Test Day 1: Franco Morbidelli, “We tried a lot of new material”

MotoGP Test Valencia Petronas Yamaha MotoGP Day 1 – Franco Morbidelli closed the first day of testing in Valencia with the third fastest time.

The Petronas team rider took to the track late in the morning and tested a selection of new 2020 components, including a new chassis.

“It was a positive day for us because we were able to try a couple of things like the new aerodynamics, some chassis components and the carbon fiber swingarm and try to increase the performance of the bike. Some things were good and some were not so good, obviously, but in the end it was a productive day for us. We were fast too which is nice and we will try to improve a little more and understand the new parts a little better tomorrow. The most important work for tomorrow will be to reconfirm what we tried today and perhaps to try other new parts too”.
