MotoGP Test Jerez Petronas Yamaha MotoGP Day 2 – Fabio Quartararo closed the two-day IRTA test in Jerez de la Frontera with the fifth fastest time, 0.153s from the top occupied today by Marc Marquez.

The Team Yamaha Petronas SRT rider was unable to work as he would have liked due to the weather and only completed 26 laps compared to 68 yesterday.

As already mentioned yesterday, the new engine requires more knowledge, but now we will have to wait for the February tests in Sepang. Here's what "El Diablo" said.

Statements Fabio Quartararo Yamaha Test Jerez Day 2

“We didn't get to do much today, because just as I was getting ready to really start working on the bike it started to rain. I had set the fastest lap time of the day but it started raining and it turned out to be the only chance I had. It's disappointing that we weren't able to test as much as we wanted, although I was also able to complete five laps in the wet to check the engine in those conditions and that was positive feedback. The track wasn't wet for long, so there was no point in continuing to ride and risk injury. We still have to work on the power delivery because it is different to the current one, but the pace set yesterday was promising. We have to complete more laps, but overall it was a positive test.”
