MotoGP | GP Aragon Qualifying: Marquez on pole, Rossi is sixth
The #93 Honda will share the front row with the Yamahas of Quartararo and Vinales
MotoGP GP Aragon Qualifying – Marc Marquez obtained the pole position of the MotoGP class Aragon Grand Prix, fourteenth stage of the 2019 MotoGP championship.
The leader of the world ranking who had dominated Day 1 of Motorland, conquered it with a time of 1:47.009. For the #93 of the Repsol Honda Team it is the ninth pole of the season, the 61st in MotoGP, 89th in his career (never anyone like him, ed.).
In the second row, Team Yamaha Petronas SRT rookie Fabio Quartararo, who in his last attempt moved to 0.327s from the top, and Maverick Vinales, riding the official M1. For "El Diablo" it is the eighth front row out of fourteen MotoGP qualifications, crowning an exhilarating rookie season.
The second row will open the Ducati GP19 of Team Pramac of Australian Jack Miller, who preceded a great Aleix Espargarò on Aprilia and Valentino Rossi on Yamaha. The “Doctor” pays a gap from the top of 1.006.
Cal Crutchlow, Franco Morbidelli and Joan Mir are on the third row, while Andrea Dovizioso did not go beyond the fourth row, tenth fastest ahead of Andrea Iannone's Aprilia.
After the difficult weekend at Misano, the official Ducatis did not respond "present" at Motorland. Petrucci did not pass Q1 and as mentioned Dovizioso is only tenth. The only GP19 to survive was that of Jack Miller, who as mentioned will open the second row.
Pol Espargarò did not take part in Q2 as he crashed in FP4 and suffered a fracture of the radius of his left wrist.
