MotoGP | GP Valencia Day1: Maverick Vinales “I'm quite happy” [VIDEO]

MotoGP GP Valencia Monster Yamaha Day 1 – Maverick Vinales closed the first day of free practice for the Valencia Grand Prix, the last stage of the 2019 MotoGP, in second position.

In the first free practice session the Spaniard set the fourth fastest time, but unlike other riders he did not end the session with a time attack. In the afternoon, however, he was only overtaken by Quartararo who trailed him by a tenth and a half.

“I'm quite happy, because I think we've made a good start. It was a good Friday, and I feel very good on the bike, as always. For sure, we still need to improve some points, but I think the pace is there and that's important. I think we are on a good level and for sure we can improve further, so we are going to try to give everything tomorrow. We have to work more on the tires, because I didn't have a great feeling, especially during the time attack, so we will have to work a little more on that.”
