MotoGP GP Valencia Petronas Yamaha MotoGP Day 1 – Franco Morbidelli ended the first day of free practice at the Valencia Grand Prix, the last stage of the 2019 MotoGP, in fifth position.

The Petronas team driver ended the first free practice session in fifth position, around two tenths from the top, while in the afternoon, despite the improvement, he finished half a second from the top.

“We worked well today and I'm happy with the rhythm we've found so far. Of course, there is always room for improvement, but from morning to afternoon we definitely went in the right direction and found something positive. The objective now will be to take a similar step tomorrow morning to be even closer to the leaders. So far we are there, with Fabio in first place and me in fifth place, and I hope we can keep the high level tomorrow and fight for the podium on Sunday."
