MotoGP | Silverstone GP Day 1: Petrucci, “I wasn't able to make the most of the soft tyre”

MotoGP British GP Ducati Day 1 – Danilo Petrucci closes the first day of testing for the British Grand Prix, twelfth stage of the 2019 MotoGP, with the tenth fastest time.

The rider from Terni, ninth in the morning, achieved a time of 2:2 in FP00.428 and finished the first day in tenth place. #9 promotes new asphalt.

“I'm quite satisfied, especially with the feeling I had this morning. The track with the new asphalt is in excellent condition, and in the afternoon we did some tire tests to understand which direction to go for tomorrow and Sunday. Unfortunately at the end of the session I wasn't able to make the most of the soft tire to get a better time, unlike the other riders. We certainly still have work to do to sort out various details and above all to understand which tires to choose for the race, but it was a positive start."
