MotoGP GP Malaysia Sepang Ducati Qualifying – Danilo Petrucci ended qualifying for the Malaysian Grand Prix, penultimate stage of the 2019 MotoGP, in eighth position.

The rider from Terni had failed to enter the top ten at the end of FP3, and had to take part in Q1 in the afternoon, finishing in second place. Petrucci then set a time of 1:59.097 on the final lap of his second outing in Q2 and finished the session in eighth place.

“I'm happy to be able to start from the third row tomorrow, because after the difficulties encountered this morning we worked well and managed to solve some of my problems. Tomorrow the race will certainly be very difficult, especially due to the great heat, and with the high temperatures tire management will be quite complicated. We'll see what the weather will be like tomorrow and, even if I don't think I have the pace to be able to compete in the race, I will do my best as always to bring home a good result."
