MotoGP GP Japan Motegi Yamaha MotoGP Qualifying – Maverick Vinales ended the qualifying for the Japanese Grand Prix, sixteenth stage of the MotoGP championship in fourth position.

The Yamaha Spaniard, after showing good pace in the dry on Friday, seems to suffer slightly more from the wet conditions and a less than perfect strategy in qualifying did the rest. The second row is good and even in case of rain the #12 has a good chance of fighting for the podium.

Statements by Maverick Vinales Japanese GP Motegi Qualifying

“Honestly, in these conditions with the track drying out, our bike is always difficult, but today overall it was very positive. I'm the first rider on the second row, I missed my target by a very narrow margin, so I'm still happy and positive. I think we still have a good opportunity to have a good race tomorrow. We will certainly try to fight for the top positions, I will do my best."
