MotoGP Gp Aragon Honda Repsol – Jorge Lorenzo finished the Aragon Grand Prix, a highly contradictory stage of the 2019 MotoGP, in 20th position.

The Honda rider started from the back and, after a timid comeback, struggled throughout the race with rear grip, progressively losing positions towards the end.

Statements Jorge Lorenzo Repsol Honda Team Gp Motorland Aragon Race

“At the start of the race I was very confident of a good result, I started well and was quite competitive in the first laps. Unfortunately I felt a big drop in the rear tire and struggled for rear grip from the start of the race. I tried to manage it by trying to slide the bike more, but it only partially worked. It's a shame, I would have preferred to start the race badly and finish strong. We can take positives, we learned more about the environment and I was happy with how some sessions went this weekend. Congratulations to Marc and the Repsol Honda Team on a great victory.”

In fact, in the first laps he fought with overtaking and counter-overtaking with Nakagami who was 13th, then he did a Ducati style race with the difference that with Ducati he lost positions after being in the lead...here he was already thirteenth and found himself last.

In my opinion, unlike Ducati who needed him to win the world championship, Honda isn't working too hard to please him because they're fine with that too.
They know that they have the only rider who can beat Marquez at home, cornered and as long as they keep him there they will control him even better and he shouldn't cause any problems.
Honda is comfortable at the cost of having only 1 bike fighting for the championship. But at least they are sure of winning it with Lorenzo out of the picture on their bike.
I'm afraid that this time Jorge will have to do it completely alone and I'm sorry because if they gave him a bike that meets his needs he would gain the show

Sorry but I've seen a Lorenzo who isn't scary for a few years, it seems like science fiction to me that Honda took Lorenzo to prevent him from stealing the world championship from Marquez... well

In the last 3 years we have only seen the real Lorenzo from Mugello 2018 to Aragon 2018, that is when he had the bike he asked for and was not injured.
With Lorenzo in place, Marquez would have a very tough life, maybe he would still prevail, like in 2013 but certainly not by taking a walk

Of course, to find positive aspects in his performance you have to be a great optimist.
Maybe it's because in certain GPs, when he was with Ducati, to me, it just seemed like he was fighting to stay in front of Dovizioso and for this reason he even ruined several races for him, I don't like him very much (not wanting to be heavy-handed), but I no longer see the Lorenzo of a few years ago, not even fleetingly in the pits. I have the clear feeling that he is giving up psychologically. I understand that the injuries he had while riding the Honda don't help, I understand that by not feeling the front, riding it becomes impossible, but he is certainly not making an effort to resolve, at least in part, this disastrous year. Honda is made in the image and likeness of Marc Marquez, so much so that the other riders rarely, very rarely manage to show off. I feel like I'm seeing the same story I experienced in Ducati with Stoner. Net of all the differences between the two moments, in Ducati Stoner was going fast and winning, his team mates, when it was going well, but it had to be going really well, remained within 10 seconds of the gap. I don't think that Honda, just as "my favorite cruise driver" says, wants to work on it (whoever wins is already in their house) with the risk of changing the alchemy established between Marquez and Moto. Lorenzo made a mistake in wanting to move to Honda too soon and he is making a mistake now in wanting to stay again next year. If there is no place in Ducati (and I don't think so, a solution can be found, you just need to want it), try Suzuki, bother Yamaha (like Vale did when he left Ducati, it seemed that they didn't want him in Yamaha anymore , then on the other side of the MotoGP management the miracle happened and Vale immediately found that seat in the official team that should have gone to Dovizioso. Thank you very much Dorna, you made me happy). Honda is ruining Lorenzo's career, but at the same time, Lorenzo is also putting his best foot forward (in my opinion obviously).

    Great Dovizioso
    Great Ducati

I agree, in the end he ruined some races for Dovizioso in Ducati even when there was no reason, after Mugello he won some races but he also crashed so it remains to be seen that if he had had another season he would have fought for the world championship, I really don't think... in the current conditions he can even stop, I don't think he has the desire to risk being paralyzed in the event of another fracture, and I don't think anyone wants to take him home with his performances what is proving, too many young people who are starting to go really fast, what is Lorenzo for?????………

But in Ducati when the fateful adaptation to the bike arrived, he achieved pole positions, podiums and victories in a very similar way to the Yamaha period. Unfortunately the injury took place and we will never know how the season would have ended; I'm convinced that with that bike he could aim for the title in 2019, and if Ducati looked back on him it means that he wasn't that bad and he didn't do that badly.

I hope that Honda supports him on a technical level because I am a fan of his and because it is true that the young people are strong, but there is still no one in sight who has the concreteness necessary to aim for the title, not even Vinales or Rins.
So far they have made many proclamations saying that they can undertake a parallel development but no facts have been seen.
They know that with Ducati, Suzuki or Yamaha it would be very inconvenient so they are simply canceling out an opponent by keeping him at home. And even if it miraculously adapts to their bike, it will always be to their advantage.
Let's say that if Honda doesn't help him, in my opinion Jorge is in checkmate for next year too, he can't adapt to this bike as it is and will never go away because he's stubborn
