MotoE | Valencia Test Day 1: Garzo the fastest
Granado and Tuuli follow in the wake, bad fall for Randy de Puniet
MotoE – MotoE tests are underway on the Valencia track these days. The electric motorcycle championship will start in early July at the Sachsenring GP.
The first day of testing on the Spanish track ended with the best time of Hector Garzo, of the Tech3 team, who stopped the clock at 1:41.743 (the Moto3 laps approximately 1 second faster). Behind the Spaniard Eric Granado (Avintia Esponsorama Racing) and Niki Tuuli (Ajo Motoe) completing the top three.
Fourth time for Mike Di Meglio (EG 0,0 Marc VDS) followed by Randy de Puniet (Team LCR-E) who crashed a violent high-side which forced him to end the day of testing early. Nico Terol (Openbank Angel Nieto Team) finished fifth fastest, ahead of Matteo Ferrari (Gresini MOTOE) and Maria Herrera (Openbank Angel Nieto Team). Alex De Angelis (Octo Pramac MOTOE), Mattia Casadei (Ongetta SIC58 Squadra Corse) and Kenny Foray (Tech 3 E-Racing) complete the top ten.
Absent Bradley Smith, busy in Barcelona for the MotoGP tests. MotoE will also be on track on Tuesday and Wednesday.
