MotoE – The starting grid of the first electric championship on two wheels, the MotoE, which will start next season, continues to be defined.

After Nico Terol, the Angel Nieto team, which will take part in the first season with two bikes, has announced the hiring of Maria Herrera.

Born in 1996, the Spaniard competed in the MotoGP world championship in 2013 in Moto3, until 2017.
We remind you that there will be a total of 18 drivers on the track and in addition to those mentioned above, the following have already been announced: Jesko Raffin (Intact GP team) Metteo Ferrari (Gresini).

The championship will take place over 5 races: Jerez, Le Mans, Sachsenring, Spielberg and Misano.

These are the words of Maria Herrera: “I'm really happy to have signed with the Ángel Nieto team for the FIM MOTOE World Cup, I think we will make a good team. I'm already looking forward to going to work in November for the first test, which will be my first time on the bike. I am very happy because this season I have already ridden a 600 at a good level, even if I know that the transition to MOTOE will be a new challenge. I've been told a few things about the bike, which I think will be very different to anything I've ridden before. I just need to know the mechanics, because I know the rest of the team from last year. I like the fact that the team is from Valencia because I have a special connection with this place and the atmosphere will be like a family. I am excited to return to the world championship paddock, because this season I have shown that I can compete with the best.”

Jorge Martinez “Aspar”: “I am happy to welcome María Herrera to the team. She is a fast rider and we are happy to be able to count on her for this new challenge. It is a new project, but the goal is to win another world title and with María and Nico Terol we have a winning team in this new category.”
