Moto3 | Stefano Nepa will have ankle surgery today
The Angeluss MTA Racing team rider aims to race in Jerez next week
The driver of the Angeluss MTA Racing team, Stefano Nepa, will undergo surgery today to reduce the medium-level bone-ligament trauma to the peroneal malleolus, suffered after the fall triggered by an aggressive maneuver by David Munoz during the Texas Grand Prix.
Initially there were fears of damage to the leg seriously injured last year after the fall in the Malaysian GP (in which he suffered displaced fractures of the tibia and fibula of the left leg, ed.). However, more in-depth tests have highlighted an edema of the ankle and the trauma reported above which will be treated surgically today.
There is talk of rather rapid recovery times and for this reason, Stefano is aiming to return for the next Grand Prix which will take place in Jerez de la Frontera.
