Moto3 Silverstone, Free Practice 1: Navarro at the top, Bastianini is the best of us

Moto3 2015 British GP FP1 – Jorge Navarro achieved the best time in the first free practice session of the Moto3 class at Silverstone.

The Spanish Honda rider stopped the clock at 2:15.568, trailing South African Brad Binder (KTM) by 0.210s. Third time for Isaac Vinales (KTM), fourth for Miguel Oliveira (KTM) and fifth for the best of the Italian riders, Enea Bastianini (Honda), 0.536s off the top.

The Team Gresini rider precedes the Czech Jakub Kornfeil (KTM) and his compatriots Romano Fenati and Andrea Migno, both riding the Team Sky VR46 KTMs. Ninth time for the Brno winner Niccolò Antonelli (Honda). The Team Ongetta Rivacold rider precedes the Spaniard Efren Vazquez.

Francesco Bagnaia with the Mahindra of Team Aspar is twelfth, ahead of Andrea Locatelli on the Honda of Team Gresini. Sixteenth time for Alessandro Tonucci (Mahindra Outox Reset Drink Team), while Stefano Manzi and Matteo Ferrari, riding the Mahindras of Team Italia, are in twenty-fifth and twenty-sixth position. Thirty-first time for Lorenzo Dalla Porta, rider of the Husqvarna Factory Laglisse Team.

Technical problems with his Honda for world leader Danny Kent, who doesn't even have a lap under his belt. Uphill start for the home rider, who for next year also has options to make the "jump" directly to MotoGP.
