Moto3 Silverstone: First career pole for Bagnaia, Bastianini and Antonelli on the front row
The tricolor flies in Great Britain, the "wet" pole goes to Francesco Bagnaia
British GP Moto3 Qualifying – The pole position of the Moto3 class British Grand Prix went to Francesco Bagnaia. The Team Aspar driver got the better of his compatriot Enea Bastianini in the pouring rain.
Bagnaia put the Mahindra ahead of everyone with a time of 2:33.642, a time 0.106s better than that set by the Team Gresini driver.
For Bagnaia it is the first pole position in his career. Also on the front row is Niccolò Antonelli, who despite a crash and thanks also to the five-place penalty inflicted on Bo Bendsneyder completes the Italian "hat trick".
Brad Binder, Joan Mir, Jules Danilo and Jorge Martin follow. Nicolò Bulega, Lorenzo Dalla Porta and Andrea Locatelli, authors of the ninth, tenth and eleventh times, also did very well.
Jorge Navarro, John McPhee, Maria Herrera, Nicolò Bulega, Niccolò Antonelli and Khairul Idham Pawi, the rain specialist, fell to the ground many times, all without physical consequences.
